Dinner n' Drive with Sue

So many have generously asked us how you can help. As we start to think about heading back to work tomorrow we are seeking balance between where our heart wants to be (here at the hospital) and where our lives call us (work and caring for our little girls).

My mom is leaving the hotel tomorrow afternoon and will return home for the first time since leaving for the ER last Saturday, tomorrow night. Mark has kindly offered to drive my mom to the hospital each morning but we are wondering if anyone is willing to come to the hopsital to eat dinner with my mom and drive her home.

We are sharing shifts during the AM and PM with family but it would be a great help if someone would take a "dinner and drive home" shift :) We need a dinner partner for tonight (Sunday) and a "dinner and drive" for Monday through Thursday of this week.

    Hi Susan,
    We are so very grateful and glad that Dwight continues to recover. God bless all of you. I hope you are taking care of yourself as well. I did leave you a voice mail re: dinner and drive home, but tehn read the blog and the days we are able to come are all taken! Unfortunately the only day that is open is the only day we cannot come and that is Tuesday. Dave has an MRI Tuesday at 5:30 and I have jury duty at 26th and California. But please keep us on the front burner and we would love to be able to help in some way. Perhaps we can do another day next weekend or the following week.
    We are so deeply moved by all that you and your family have been through. Our love to all of you.

    We just arrived home from Michigan (week-end with Kim, Ben, and our 3 grandkids). Checked the blog and saw the "dinner & drive" request. We can do Tuesday, if that is still open. Let us know.
